The OTHER Wonder Woman on DVD

According to a a post at space:1970 we could be seeing the Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman on DVD.

According to the site:

"On December 11th, Warner Archive will be releasing Wonder Woman on burned-to-order disc:

Before Lynda Carter took the heroine back to World War 2 for her “New, Original” incarnation in 1975, statuesque tennis pro-turned-performer Cathy Lee Crosby swung the magic lasso in a very different TV incarnation of Wonder Woman. As developed by scribe John D.F. Black (Star Trek), and seemingly influenced by her recent turn as a mod, cat-suited crime-fighter in the pages of her DC Comics home, this Amazon Princess was more superspy than superhero. Still, many of the expected wondrous elements from bracelets and lassos to Paradise Island and invisible jets all make an appearance, albeit with a sleek, seventies espionage super-action refit. Three years before taking up residence on Fantasy Island, Ricardo Montalban (Star Trek II: The wrath Of Khan) plays laconic lothario Abner Smith, who lurks at the top of the conspiracy to make off with ultra-secret code books – leading Agent Prince to discover an Amazon sister-in-exile (Anitra Ford)."

Neither title appears to be available at the Warner Archive site as yet, but I'm sure they'll be listed shortly. Needless to say, I'll be trying to get my hands on a copy as soon as I can, and when I do, I'll post a full review here on the site.
And we will have something here as well!

Pixar's Wonder Woman?

Not really, but how DanielAraya at Deviant Art thinks such a project might turn out.  Have a look.

I was directed to a new Wonder Woman fan film called Heritage.

You can see the details on their website here:
And their fundraiser here:

I would LOVE to see this.  I hope that the folks at DC/Warner are all cool with this to be honest.

So please have a look and fund them if you can!

Ame-Comi Wonder Woman #1 Out Today

IF you have been following the latest news.  DC is releasing a digital only Wonder Woman series based on it's line of Anime-inspired vinyl figures.

Wonder Woman #1 is up now.

I have to admit it's looks cool and for the price of an app, 99 cents, it is hard to go wrong.

Wonder Woman + Big Barda = Dead Bad Guys

This from Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010). Wonder Woman and Big Barda run afoul of Granny and The Furies. Diana keeps it together pretty well, but Big Barda has turned the Mercy Switch to its off position.

JLU: "Grudge Match"

I have perhaps posted this before, but after my lackluster attitude to The Avengers I needed some real super hero bad-assedness. What did I do to get my fix? Justice League Unlimited, Series 3, Episode 9... "Grudge Match."

"Grudge Match" is a favorite of mine. Not just for the sexy-lady-fighting angle, but because it really features our favorite hero as the bad ass She is. The Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited cartoons have predominantly been good to Diana, letting her beat Superman's ass pretty harshly in Series One ("Paradise Lost", S1E10/11). In "Grudge Match" we get to see the kind of fear She strikes in her enemies. Below is a playlist of the entire episode. The good stuff starts in part 2, around 04:45. You know you are a bad ass when you get Hawkgirl to basically say "Game over, man! Game over!"

And just for fun, and so you don't have to follow the link, here is the aforementioned Superman ass-whoopin'. Sure, they don't let you know who would win, but I say if Superman is in in full defense and you are still bringing it to him then the man is in trouble.

Wonder Woman: Dave Hoover

Was looking for some art today for something else (ok for Charmed) and it dawned on my that this was Dave Hoover's birthday week. Dave of course died back in September, but his art still lives on.

Here are some his pics of Wonder Woman, Donna Troy and Troia.

Wonder Woman Tape NSFW

This might be stretching the bounds of decency here, but even Wonder Woman is not immune to the allure of celerity media.

Not Safe for Work. Or Kids. And maybe some spouses.

Wonder Woman Vs. Xena comic

The parallels between Wonder Woman and Xena are rather interesting.
Both are battle tested princesses.  Both have had dealings with Ares, all the great gods and fought with Heracles.  Both have had dealings with the Amazons.

Also both became strong feminist or at least "girl power" icons.

So why did we never see them together?

Well we were.  But it never happened.
According to this, were supposed to get a Wonder Woman/Xena crossover.

You can read the article there, but in truth this could have been great fun.  Xena, the character and the TV show, owes much to Wonder Woman.  Watching them stand together (cause you know how that has to be the end) would have been great fun.
